Ah, the weekend.  The Honey-do list, the chores, the pain of it all!!!  But don’t complain because it might hurt worse!According to recent research from Germany, if you suffer from chronic pain, talking about it frequently can make it worse. Investigators at Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena used brain scans to determine how healthy people process words describing pain.

When participants were asked to imagine situations that corresponded with words associated with pain such as "excruciating," "paralyzing" and "grueling" the brain's pain processing centers showed a clear response.

The conclusion: Words alone can trigger pain. So “chill”, “relax” take a “hot bath” and we wish you well!!
