BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say two teenage girls were hit by an SUV and injured after getting off a school bus in Bremerton.

The Kitsap Sun reports the crash happened Monday afternoon near Werner Road and Nollwood Lane.

Bremerton Police say the students suffered injuries that weren't considered to be life-threatening. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan says the driver of the SUV has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

No other details were immediately available.
