Two kids were shot at a home in the 100 block of union street at about 8:45 p.m. last night. When officers arrived they learned a gunman, dressed in a hooded jacket, had been seen firing two rounds at the front of a house at the corner of Fenton and Union Street.  The suspect fled on foot. Police say several adults and 6 children ranging in age from 2 months to 12 years of age were inside the home. Some of the kids had been lying asleep on the floor when the shots were fired and one round penetrated the inner wall, striking two children.  An 11 year old girl received a grazing wound to her abdomen and a 7 year old boy was struck in his left forearm.  Neither wound is considered life threatening, however the boy was transported to Harborview for specialized care of his injured arm. Yaima Police describe the suspect nly as 5’9”, thin build, wearing a light colored plaid jacket with a hood.  Anyone with information concerning the suspect is encouraged to call the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200 or 575-6212.
