15-Year-Old Yakima Shooting Suspect Arrested

Yakima Police arrested a 15-year-old boy connected with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Anthony Yocom Thursday night.

KNDO reports the boy was found and arrested by members of the Violent Crimes Task Force and Yakima Police Gang Unit at a residence in East Yakima on the 1800 block of Wilson Lane with the shooting occurring on the 700 block of West Mead Avenue.

The police have been searching for the suspect who was arguing with Yocom just before the shots were fired.

The boy was booked into the Yakima County Juvenile Detention Center and police are still looking for other evidence with the shooting still under investigation.
