15-Year-Old Boy Shot During Gang Shooting Friday Night

Yakima Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times in the area of 7th Street and Spruce at about 7:00 p.m. Friday night. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says when officers arrived "they found a victim that had multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries."
The victim has been identified as 15-year-old Fabian Lopez. Bastinelli says Lopez was walking in the area when the shots were fired. Police don't know if the shots were from a home or a car that drove by.  Police believe the shooting was gang related. It remains under investigation Today. No arrests have been made.
